Palmcoast Microfinance Bank Limited (PMFB) was incorporated on October 13, 2009 to carry on the business of microfinance banking in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The Corporate Head Office is at No. 13, Nwaniba Road, Uyo.
PMFB is a privately owned financial institution committed to providing diversified, affordable and dependable financial services to the active low income group, in a timely and competitive manner that would enable customers undertake, grow and prosper in their businesses and personal finances.
The bank was incorporated as a Unit Microfinance Bank. In 2013, the bank grew her share capital and CBN upgraded the bank from a Unit Microfinance bank to a State Microfinance Bank.

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
The general policy of the Bank is determined by the Board of Directors comprising five industrious and experienced professionals committed to the highest standard of service excellence and best practice. The Bank’s vision and strategic objectives are delivered by the executive management team, led by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Bank’s Board of Directors comprises 4 experienced individuals of high integrity, impeccable character and values. They have acquired and demonstrated vast experience and competences in professional practices and business administration. Their combined experience in banking and business management which adds up to over 90 years is one of the major strengths of the Bank. This will support the rapid attainment of the Bank’s business objectives. The members of the Board of Directors are as follows:

Chairman

Nkereuwem graduated from the University of Calabar and has over 28 years post-call experience. She worked in a law firm and a couple of finance houses before venturing into entrepreneurship. She is well-grounded in running small and medium-sized businesses and is currently the managing Director of Beryl Bureau de Change Ltd. She has also attended the Certification Programme for Non-Executive Directors of Microfinance Banks. Her varied experiences in law practice and businesses is brought to bear on the activities of Bank.

Aniekan is currently the Managing Partner of UDO UDOMA & BELO-OSAGIE, a highly reputed multi-specialisation full-service law firm with offices in Nigeria’s key commercial centres and an affiliate in Ghana.
He heads the firm’s banking and finance team as well as its real estate, project finance, and infrastructure and private-public partnership teams. Mr. Ukpanah advises and represents Nigerian, international, and multilateral institutions and sponsors in the development and financing of numerous projects relating to telecommunications, petrochemicals, oil and gas, electric power projects, cement plants, construction, real estate development, rail, road and other infrastructure projects.
He has advised on a range of high-profile projects and transactions, including the Euromoney Deal of the Year in 2003, 2006, 2013 and 2014 respectively. He also advises corporate and state governments on capital markets and bond issuance.
Outside his core legal, banking and financing focus, his advice has been sought by a wide spectrum of government and corporate bodies. Mr. Ukpanah is a Member, Governing Council, Obong University, which is the first licensed private University in Akwa Ibom State. He is a Member, Technical Committee on the realisation of the Ibom Deep Sea Port and the Ibom Industrial City. He also served as a Member of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Technical Committee on Bank Consolidation, and was a Member of the Federal Government Study Group advising the Federal Government on the Review of the Nigerian Tax System.
In addition to his professional legal training, Mr. Ukpanah has attended the Owner Manager’s Programme of the Lagos Business School and the Executive Business Management Programme, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
Mr. Ukpanah has been ranked as a leading lawyer across various global directories. He has been acknowledged as one of Nigeria’s leading project finance lawyers by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR1000), Chambers Global Legal Directory, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal. With his experience in boardroom and corporate governance, he has brought extensive business network and that wealth of experience to bear on the business of Palmcoast Microfinance Bank Limited.

Etim graduated from University of Uyo with B.Sc Degree in Accounting Second Class Upper Division (1995). His over 27 years working experience as an Accountant spans 3 years in Banking and 23 years in Mobil Producing Nigeria. He has served in various capacities spanning from Human Resources to Procurement and Controls Advisor in Security positions. He has also attended the Certification Programme for Non-Executive Directors of Microfinance Banks. His wealth of experience and knowledge has been of tremendous benefit to Palmcoast Microfinance Bank Limited.

Emmanuel Etim (Director) B.Sc – Radiography

Emmanuel has 33 years working experience in Radiography. He holds a post Graduate Diploma in Management from University of Calabar; Bachelor of Science degree in Radiography. He is a registered member Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria. He is also an associate member International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologies; member Nigerian Institute of Management. He has worked in the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital as Principal Radiographer where he managed the department, coordinated staff training and carried out routine and specialized radiological investigations. He currently works with Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Medical Services. His experience in Management has been a positive contribution to the affairs of the Bank.

With a combined industry experience of over 50 years, they are well positioned to provide business leadership that keeps the focus on customer’s delight.
